Nissan Motor (GB) Limited, (NMGB) is the sales and marketing company responsible for the distribution of all Nissan products in the UK.  The company is based in Maple Cross, Hertfordshire, where it employs approximately 156 staff. 

Established in 1991, the company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. NMGB officially opened for business on 1 January 1992 with a network of 151 dealers.  The current dealer network stands at 195 (March 2008).

NMGB enjoyed early success, with the launch of the new UK-built Micra which went on to win European Car of the Year in 1993, the first Japanese–designed car to win this honour.

Since 1992, NMGB has launched over 40 new models into the UK market including the Sunderland-built Micra, Almera, Primera, Note and most recently the award winning QASHQAI.  Launched in March 2007, QASHQAI sold over 24,500 units in its first year, making it the most successful model NMGB has launched in its 16 year history. 

Nissan’s current model line-up in the UK includes passenger and sports cars, Crossover and 4x4 vehicles plus a full range of light commercial vehicles

In 2007, NMGB announced the creation of a dedicated LCV regional Business Unit, to support the Global LCV strategy which formed part of Nissan’s three-year business plan, Value-up (details of which can be found in the Company Information Section).

In April 2008 Paul Wilcox became Managing Director of NMGB.

In 2008 NMGB recorded sales of 76,296 vehicles in the UK.
